May 19, 2006 - Vancouver, BC – Momentum Technologies, a global provider of outsourced software services, announced that its Global Development Center in India has launched the initiative for ISO 27001 certification.

October 2005 and replaces the previous BS7799 standard. ISO 27001 is the only international standard indicating that an organization has received a truly independent assessment of its ISMS.

The new standard is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and give confidence to interested parties, including an organization's customers.

Momentum takes a comprehensive approach to manage sensitive information encompassing people, processes and Information Management Security Systems.
