| Attendees learn to effectively manage offshore outsourcing.
October 2, VANCOUVER, BC - Momentum Technologies Inc. announced today that its CEO delivered a presentation at the Osellus Software Process and Methodology Conference in Toronto. Attended by C-level executives and industry's leading experts on software development from across Canada and the USA, the conference was focused on the importance of process and methodology in software development. Momentum’s CEO Pankaj Agarwal and Quality Leader Amit Saini spoke about integrating processes for offshore development.
“Our objective in participating was to help firms considering to incorporate outsourcing into their businesses, to learn some of the do’s and dont’s and to be aware of what a company and a vendor will require for a successful implementation,” said Pankaj Agarwal, CEO of Momentum Technologies Inc. “Successful outsourcing implementations must be grounded in process and this approach enables firms to learn how to ensure the success of an outsourcing initiative.”
The presentation led attendees through the steps to identify, select and work with an outsourcing vendor. Momentum incorporated real-world examples of various implementations into their presentation. The discussion and Q&A session was lively and Momentum facilitated interaction among participants who, from their experience, often offered advice to one another on how to put the best foot forward.
Organized by Osellus Inc., the one-day conference was the first of its kind in Canada. Attendees from firms including Scotia Bank, Royal Bank of Canada, Hudson Bay and Platform Computing, to name a few, participated in the conference. The keynote address by Dave Zubrow from the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University discussed Measurement in a Process Framework.
